Introducing my new blog...
I’m not much for writing about my own person (in fact, I hate it), but on numerous occassions I have found myself in need of some kind of self-insistent babbling repository so that I might be able to document things for the sake of posterity (and lack of memory). A long time ago, I had a blog that was powered by Blogger, a Google product. For several years leading up into the present, I continued to use Blogger for the management of several tech-related blogs until I eventually gave way to a lack of inspiration and became tired of the whole thing.
This implementation comes with several advantages in comparison to its predecessor. First, this blog is fully submerged in the rest of my website thus allowing me to exercise greater authority over its form: I can choose to have what is essentially nothing more than a block of text with some pretty pictures without being shunned by Google for failing to make use of their implements. I have absolutely no use for analytics on this part of my website because it would only press me to make adjustments to my style of writing, or the subject matter on which I write, so as to appease the court of public opinion; this idea is just repulsive in nature. Second, I don’t have to bother with Google’s analytics garbage anymore, and no, there doesn’t need to be a comments section below every blog post when there exists a forum that is superior in every respect.
I might put some additional effort into porting over some of my old blog posts that I consider worthwhile. Otherwise, there you have it. Any and all new posts will most likely be sporadic in both their timing and contents, the latter of which should no doubt weave together into one big ball of yarn, or perhaps a nest of tangled cables. The weaver in the web that he made!
